2018-2019 Mt OAK CHILDREN'S CAMP - STEAM OUTREACH
The Irrational Engineers had a wonderful opportunity to share their love of STEM/STEAM with children at a children's camp in Bowie, MD during the summer of 2018. The kids were taught how to make tiny robots out of the heads of toothbrushes, adding vibrating motors to the tops and then decorating them. They learned about basic electrical circuits while having a really fun time.
2017-2018 OUTREACH - SHARING OUR LOVE OF STEM/STEAM
Robotics teams from MD, DC and VA came to RFK Stadium to participate in the Annual Robotics Outreach during a DC United Soccer game. The goal was to introduce & demonstrate robotics of many forms to children and their parents. All of the teams helped each other set up and run the outreach and many wonderful contacts were made with students, parents and potential sponsors.
