Team 6239 volunteered 25 students, mentors and parents for the @FTCTeams PG County Qualifier at Parkdale High School - it was an amazingly valuable experience. We were assigned as judges, Dean's List Interviewers, Referees, Queuers - it was so enlightening. It gave us incredible insight into the tremendous amount of work that it takes to run a tournament #Team6239 #gotpi #omgrobots #FIRST #IrrationalEng #BowieStateUniversity #firstrobotics #destinationdeepspace, #FRC4949
Today we swapped out our old CIM for the new brushless motors. The REV NEO Brushless Motor is the first brushless motor designed to meet the unique demands of the FRC community. NEO offers an incredible power density due to its compact size and reduced weight. Designed to have similar performance characteristics and matching mounting features, NEO can be a drop-in replacement for CIM-style motors.
SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY
The Irrational Engineers visited The Robo Panthers to discuss and plan some important events coming up. Team 4949, Team 6239, and a few other teams will be working together to present at the 2017 DC Auto Show. We are extremely excited for the opportunity to meet other students who participate in robotics and enjoy it as much as we do!
The Irrational Engineers have started assembling the robot and everyone is working hard! We are having meetings every night so that we can get a head start on the build season. Everyone is learning to work together as a team. We are taking things step by step and we are making progress!!
